Favorite DS9 episode of all time

Post by Mark »

As before in TOS and TNG, what is your all time favorite DS9 episode?

One nomination per person, but you can second whatever you like. Only entries that have been seconded will go into the poll at the end of the week.

"Far Beyond the Stars." Fantastic storytelling in a great break from the Trek convention.

Improbable Cause/The Die is Cast.

The interplay between Garak and Odo is brilliant, and its great to see how their relationship has changed in The Way of the Warrior.

I'll second By the Pale Moonlight.

What was the name of the one that takes place on another cardassian station and Garak goes crazy and tries to kill everyone until O'brien stops him?

I'll nominate What You Leave Behind. Cheaped out on the battle via stock footage? Yes. But one of the best "goodbyes" in my opinion.

The Visitor.

I normally enjoy more lighthearted and fun episodes like Trials and Tribble-ations but "The Visitor" is for DS9 what was "The Inner Light" for TNG. A truly remarkable episode the likes of which I am hard pressed to compare to anything we see on today's shows. Maybe I am getting emotionally dull as I am getting older but I cannot really think of many other TV-Show episodes nowadays which are equally brilliant and touching.
I'm Commander Shepard and this is my favorite store on the Citadel.
