"Sir, the Son'a Battle ship is dead ahead. Their traveling at sub light speeds" The helmsman spoke to Captain JudgeKing.

"Finally, drop out of warp, open hailing frequencies." He ordered tired of searching for the elusive ship.

"Sir! The ship just launched a full spread of torpedoes!" the helmsman spoke again, as the ship gracefully decelerated out of warp.

"Evasive Maneuvers! Return Fire!" JudgeKing replied, as the ship shook with the impact.

The sleek design of the sovereign class was suddenly destoyed as phaser beams and torpedoes lept off the ship hitting the Son'a ship.

The flashing red lights and common klaxon alerted the crew of the USS Destiny NCC-74569 ship, it was time for battle.

Turn 1 - Conn Phase

Captain JudgeKing quickly orders the ship to accelerate to the otherside of the Battleship and come about putting his nose to her. However his novice helmsman freezes at the sight of the Battleship and Judgeking has to slap him to get him back to reality, however by that time it was too late.

On the Battleship, Captain Reliant orders his ship to move in closing the distance between him and the Starfleet Vessel. The Helmsman executes with the effeciency JudgeKing could only wish for and closes the distance down to 100,000 km

Trun 1 - Tac

After getting his helmsman back on track Captain JK turnes to his tactical officer and orders all forward weapons to fire. An instant later the phasers come to life leaping away from the ship just as a colorful display of torpedoes are shot out of their tubes. The Phasers hit the battleships forward shields square dealing 255,000 TJ damage. this is followed by four photon torpedoes dealing a total of 320,000 TJ damage leaving the battleships forward shields at 100,000 TJ. Fortuneately for the crew the other eight torpedoes all miss their marks.

After the barrage from the new Starfleet vessel, Captain reliant orderes an attack with all forward weapons also. In similar fashon the phasers leap from the Son'a ship follwed by the photon torpedoes and two subspace torpedoes. The Phasers hit the Sovereigns forward shields with a vengance dealing 225,000 TJ damage. Reliant's mood is suddenly soured however as he watches all the torpedoes save for one miss the ship. One subspace torpedo does manage to find it's mark dealing 120,000 TJ damage and knocking JK's forward shields down to 420,000 TJ.

Turn 2 - Conn

JudgeKing turns to his helmsman after they unload their torpedoes and orders the same move, to get behind the Son'a ship and get his nose facing them. Eager to please, the Helmsman lays in the course and quickly and easily makes it over the Son'a ship, however as he goes to turn he doesn't quite make it laying the Sovereign's Port side up to the Son'a Ship.

Meanwhile Reliant orders his ship to simply turn 45 degrees Starboard, which his Helmsman did perfectly.

Turn 2 - Tac

Captain Relaint is quick to act, ordering all avalable weapons to fire. The Phasers lash out at the Soverigns Port shields striking them dead on, dealing 225,000 TJ damage to the shields knocking them down to 482,500 TJ, and causing several consols on the Bridge to explode. Next off the Battleship fires the facing Torpedo tubes, which happens to only be two. The subspace torpedo reaches the ship first, striking the port side knocking the shields down further to 362,500 TJ. Next come the Photon Torpedoes and all four of them hit, running along the side of the entire legnth of the ship dealing 320,000 TJ damage. The shields fall to 42,500 TJ, but some of the blead through from the torpedo hits the Port Nacelle.

JudgeKing Orders all Phasers to fire at the Son'a ship, unable to do much more. The Phasers leap out at the enemy striking the Aft shields and knocking them down to 324,169 TJ.

Turn 3 - Conn

JudgeKing orders his ship turned around the rest of the way bringing his aft to bear on the Son'a ship. His Helmsman is also skillfully able to move in on the Battleship closing the distance to 200,000 km

Reliant's helmsman, not to be outdone, performs and excellent vertical flip, moving the Son'a's forward sections into position with the sovereigns aft. the Helmsman is also able to move down, giving sight of the aft quarters, but not quite making it under the ship.

Status Report

The ships are aproxamately 100,000km apart, with the Battle ship's forward/dorsal sections facing the Sovereigns Ventral/Aft sections

Turn 3-Tac

As the two ships close in towards eachother, Judge King orders his ship to fire all avalable Weapons at the Battleship. The Aft Phasers lash out followed quickly by a volley of torpedoes from the Aft tubes. The Phasers make contact hitting the Dorsal shields knocking them down to 281,667 TJ. This is quickly followed by the volley of torpedoes. Two go wide however the other six all make contact. the first three hit the forward section dealing 240,000 TJ damage and knocking the forward shields down to 296,667 TJ. The other four all make contact on the Dorsal section dealing 240,000 TJ of damage, further depleating the dorsal shields to 41,667 TJ, barely keeping them alive.

Meanwhile on the Son'a ship, Reliant orders his tactical officer to fire the phasers and photon torpedoes at the damaged nacelle. The phasers make contact with the aft shields, dealing 225,000 TJ knocking them down to 371,667 TJ. Next all four of the forward facing photon torpedo tubes launch their payloads. Nine of the torpedoes go wide, barely missing the mark. The other seven all make contact with the aft shields dealing out an astounding 560,000 TJ damage. This blows out the Aft shielding shutting them down for the remainder of the battle, and leaving 188,333 TJ to hit the nacelle, nocking it down to 522,150 TJ integrity. With the aft shielding gone, Reliant then orders the subspace torpedoes fired aiming for the aft impulse engines. By some miracle both torpedoes miss.

Turn 4 - Conn

Immediately after the barage, Captain Relaint orders his helmsman to stay on the Sovereign's tail, not wanting to loose such a precious chance to pulverize his enemy. Judgeking on the other side immediately orders his ship to do a complete 180, and close the distance between the ships. After a series of quick maneuvers, JudgeKing fails to fully pull his aft quarters out of Reliant's line of sight, turning so his shielded port side is half way inbetween the two.

Status Repoort

The Son'a ship is sitting slightly below the Sovereign with it's forwar sections facing the Port/Aft Quarters. The ships are aproximately 50,000 m Apart

Repair Crews on the Sovereign report the damage to the nacelle was unable to be repaired.

Turn 4 - Tac

With the Sovereign clearly in the sights, Captain Reliant greedily turned to his tactical officer and ordered all weapons fired, and to target the visible phaser arrays. The Phasers fired first, skillfully slipping into the hole where the aft shields used to be and striking the Aft-Port side Phaser array knocking it out of use until damage crews could get to it. Next came full salvo's of Photon Torpedoes and Subspace Warheads. The First six photons missed their mark sailing wide of the ship, but the next four all found thier targets smashing into the unshielded aft compartment. dealing 320,000 TJ damage and knocking the section down to 390,483 TJ. One of the torpedoes was also able to find a torpedo control room flooding it with radiation and forcing the crew to flee for their lives. The remaining six torpedoes found the Port side shields smashing into them with a combined 480,000 TJ, knocking down the Sovereigns port shields to a mere 56,667 TJ. JudgeKing lucked out however as he watched both subspace torpedoes fly wide.

Simultaneously on the Sovereign Judge King orders the Aft Port Phasers to fire at the Battleship. Just before Reliant is able to knock them out, the phaser array releases it's barrage against the Son'a ship dealing 255,000 TJ damage to the forward shields knocking them down to 219,167 TJ.

Turn 5 - Conn

JudgeKing immediately orders the ship's impulse engines to fire, pushing the ship as far away from the Son'a ship as possible. On a side note he also requests the ship turn a full 180 to bring the Sovereign's forward sections around to face their enemy. The Helmsman does his best, but the damaged nacelle injures his maneuvering ability, leaving him unable to out maneuver the enemy and get them off their tail. Damage report crews finally report the repair of the nacelle, for now.

Captain reliant is in no rush, he waits to see what his enemy will do before making a move of his own. As the Sovereign begins to move off, he orders the ship to keep in close, and remain on the sovereigns tail. The maneuvering of the Sovereign is enough however that the conn officer has to put all his effort into keeping the aft compartments in it's sights, letting the sovereign get away.

Status

The two ships are approximately 250,000km apart, with the Son'a ship's fore sections staring straight across into the Sovereign's unshielded aft.

Turn 5 - Tac

JudgeKing doesn't hear the damage report come in at first, as he is busy yelling at the helmsman for not turning their aft section away. Finally getting back into the battle, he looks at the Tactical officer to fire everything they have, which isn't much. The Aft-Starboard phaser array comes to life, shooting out it's deadly beam at the Son'a ship. However, the angle of the attack was to much to get around and the phaser beam never makes contact. The Helmsman then also launches four photon torpedoes from the one functioning aft torpedo launcher. They fly across the empty space between them, the distance affecting the first as it sails wide. The other three however make contact dealing 240,000 TJ to the forward shields knocking them down to 191,667TJ Power.

Reliant isn't as laid back now, he can already taste the blood he's about to draw. He orders all forward weapons to fire targeting the aft section. The Tac officer starts off with the phasers, and unlike their enemy their opening shot contacts the ship dealing 225,000 TJ damage to the aft section knocking it down to 165,483TJ, the phasers rip though the section destroying the rest of the aft weaponry, as well as many of the other defining features of the section. The majority of the crew is forced to evacuate while damage control teams move in to try and limit the damage. The tactical officer then lets off all the torpedoes they have. Unfortuneately for him all but three photons shoot wide of the ship, followed closely by both subspace torps. The three that do make contact however finish the job, dealing 240,000TJ damage, destroying what was left of the Aft engineering section, and doing some moderate damage to Central engineering.

Turn 6 - Conn

Reliant is eager, feeling the end is near, he orders the ship forward to close on the enemy vessel, he also orders his conn officer to begin executing evasive maneuvers, preparing for an on coming onslaught. The helmsman tries desperately to perform up to standards and only just manages to start evasive maneuvers before it's too late.

JudgeKing on the other side of the battlefield looks in horror at the wreck that used to be part of his ship. Angry, he yells his orders at the helmsman, demanding the ship pull a full 180, and rush in towards the Son'a ship. The helmsman clearly worried of what might happen if he fails again, moves rapidly, stringing commands and pulling maneuvers most officers wouldn't dream up. He quickly gets the ship around and begins closing in on the Son'a ship. However, in compliance of his orders changes course and backs off as the Son'a ship closes.

Status

The two ships are facing each other again, with both fore sections ahead, the ships are roughly 150,000km apart.

Turn 6 - Tac

JudgeKing is the first to act, pleased with his Helmsman he orders all phasers fire, followed by a spread of quantum torpedoes. The phasers lash out first striking the forward shields of the Son'a Battleship, dealing 255,000TJ damage and knocking down forward shield strength to 136,667TJ. The quantum torpedoes are next and in a fit of skill, trying to make up for previous mistakes, all four quantum torpedoes hit, dealing out 480,000TJ damage. The first one is completely absorbed by the shields, however the next one overloads the generators taking out the forward shields, and bleeding through onto the hull, knocking down the central disk section to 266,282TJ structural integrity. The torpedoes destroy the phaser array in the section, and forcing the Son'a engineers to vent some anti-matter to prevent a warp core breach. JudgeKing impressed with the tactical officer then turns and orders a wide spread of photon torpedoes, hoping to finish off the Son'a. Again showing that he isn't as inept as he'd previously demonstrated, five of the eight photon torpedoes hit the ship. The first slams right into the central disk section, knocking it down still further to 186,282 TJ integrity. The next two slam into the forward section, dealing 160,000TJ and leaving it at 449,615TJ. One of the torpedoes slams into a photon torpedo launcher destroying it. The last two streak off hitting the port and starboard shields respectively, knocking them both down to 311,667TJ.

Reliant doesn't stay quiet for long, turning to the slave at tactical he orders the subspace torpedoes launched, targeting the quantum torpedo launcher. The tactical officer launches the torpedoes but unbelievably they both fly well wide of the ship. Frustrated, Reliant orders the rest of the available weapons fired at will. The phaser hit first dealing 225,000TJ to the Sovereigns forward shields, knocking them down to 215,667 TJ. The Photon torpedoes are launched next, and this time the tactical officer just manages to best his counterpart, getting a total of 6 hits. The first two slam into the shields, but they hold. As the third hits, the shields look like their going to take the brunt, but at the last second the generators are overloaded, bringing down the forward shields. the rest of the torpedo's energy get's through the gap knocking down the forward saucer's structural integrity to 686,150 TJ. The following three hit around the ship, the first also slamming into the forward saucer, knocking it down to 606,150TJ. The next two slam into forward engineering, dealing 160,000 TJ damage and knocking the section down to 606,150TJ. One of the torpedoes hits nearby the quantum torpedo turret, disheveling all the torpedoes and flooding the room with radiation. knocking it out for one (1) turn.

Turn 7

Jumping back into his Command Chair, JudgeKing opens a comm line to Engineering and orders that the Quantum Torpedoes be repaired immediately. Then turning to his helmsman he orders the ship forward, to close the distance between them.

Meanwhile on the Son'a Ship, Captain Reliant orders evasive maneuvers to throw off the enemy's target locks. Once a pattern had been enacted he looks at the Helmsman and orders the ship to close slightly as well.

Status Report

The two ships are still facing each other, though the distance has now closed to `80,000 km.
