More and more posts, yet life remains the same

Post by stitch626 »

Well, we made it to 120000. Nothing special.
Except that since about August our posts have greatly decreased.
It took almost three weeks longer to reach this next 10000 than it did last time.
Seems we get really busy during the "school year".
However, our membership has gone up, though the number of active users has remained about the same as some have not posted in a while.

Well, we are a month ahead of my estimation. I figured we'd close the year with 120,000. I guess our next big milestones would be 150,000 then 200,000. Maybe the powers that be will do something special for the forum when we hit the big 200,000.

Well, for me, the Find the Founders games have really brought my post count up. If every one was involved, I can imagine 10000 in a month. Of course, the games would be really interesting too.

But for some reason, only a few of us are interested in playing. Yeah, I'm going to ask that now. For all of you guys who DON'T play our Find the Founders game, I'm REALLY curious. WHY?

Good question. I've found it to be quite entertaining. Even when I was killed early. :)

I think you'll find that the people who regularly play FtF are also the regulars in the RPGs. That's effectively what the game is, and if people don't have an interest in RPGs then it's unlikely they'd have an interest in FtF.

personally, I don't like the game enough to actually want to participate in it, no matter how fun it may be. i'm not intersted at the moment.

I participated in the 1st one, but that was the end of my summer. Now with school and extracurriculars and college search, I don't have time to post in a conversation style like that. I'm barely sure what to do for the RPs. But they do make a great read. If I had time, I'd be in.

Yep, maybe even the Christmas-New Year period depending on how things go. Senior year you know...

Hmm, could someone kindly direct me to the Find the Founders game? :D

Thanks

Just pop into the humour forum, right at the bottom of the main page. I'm not sure if Reliant is still looking for participants, but you might get in before FtF V starts.
