Forum Redirects?

Post by Aaron »

I've had this issue a few times and I'm not sure where to put it:

Occasionaly I click "back" or a link to a forum thread and get redirected to what appears to be a BS Microsoft site claiming the forum does not exist. I'll try and grab a screenshot and link the next time it happens.

There's been a couple of occasions where I've clicked on something and it comes up "page unavailable" or something, but if I go back and click on it again there's no problem.

Haven't seen that one. I've gotten a "site unavailable" message after submitting a post, but usually the forum has taken the post and I end up having to delete a duplicate after re-submitting.

I haven't noticed any abnormalities at all.

I've had that too

I've had a similar problem with the back button where it just shows up as the page I was viewing before I hit the back button. As in I stay in place but the back button thinks I went back.

Come to think of it, I have noticed at times that that forum doesn't load fully. That is, the page will load normally, but only to halfway down the length of the forum index. I'll get a screen the next time it happens. (Browser = Firefox)

Ditto, with IE. I just hit refresh and it sorts itself.

Noticed that once or twice myself. I'm also with Firefox, and hitting refresh fixes it.

Same problem, same solution (also on IE).

Yes, reloading the page fixes it.

At least I know it's not just my computer anymore. I was worried there was something wrong with it. {sigh of relief}

Microsoft released an update to windows to fix a problem with DNS and that has caused major issues breaking quite a few valid addresses from time to time.

What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

I lost an aunt and a grandmother to cancer. That's not real funny.

Yeah and I lost my Mum to it. While an obvious hyberbowl it shows my deep hatred for mircosoft.
