They are with the robes on.

TPM: Anakin accidentally saw Qui-Gon's lightsaber when he moved his arm; I don't think he meant anyone to see it.

ANH: Obi-Wan had his concealed until he lopped the guy's arm off in the cantina.

And, so on.

The Jedi are space cops, the Conventions don't apply. ;)

Seriously though, they fall under the Justice Department.

Yeah, but Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan both were going incognito there. I mean, you've got Anakin annoucing to that bar in AOTC, "Jedi business."

And Kendall's got a point. the Jedi are just damned hard to pin down. "We're a religious order... with superpowers. And starships. We also meditate... and levitate!"

IIRC, Striker's from the UK, and I don't think there are any guards around here. Not that I know of, in any case.

Kamakazie Sith is a cop but he hasn't been on since 07. I've heard pig tossed around as a slang for cops in Canada but not that often.

Actually, New Hampshire. And now I get it. Thanks for the explanation. I just haven't thought of cop=pig in a long time.
