Yeah, the tau tanks are pretty nice.

The tau fleet is pretty nice, too.

And one more picture, showing the entire fleet in all its glory, including Barracuda class fighters and Manta class heavy bombers:
I think the Emissary is my favourite. It just has this sense of sleek power around it.

Re: TR-116
As much as the game itself sucked (though the novel was pretty damn cool), Firewarrior had some nice cutscenes with the Emissary and an Imperial Emperor class battleship in action:
The Emperor class bitchslaps the Emissary
The Emissary launches its own counter attack....and gets thoroughly owned by the Emperor again when the latter's guns open up
Emperor class launches drop pods at the planet below before self-destructing
Imperial fleet > planet
Background on the IoM and the tau. A bunch of Emissaries appear at the end

Yup, that's an Exterminatus in action. Gotta love those big fireballs reaching up into space from the surface of the planet.

Re: TR-116
If you like the tau, you should pick up the novel Firewarrior which was based on the game of the same name. It follows the journey of one tau soldier, Kais, as he fights the Imperium and slides slowly into insanity. Loads of ground action, some nice space combat, Space Marines acting badass, well written characters and some great plot twists in it.
But for the love of all that's holy, do NOT pick up the game. It sucks. Hard.

The Protector looked cool, kinda like a stingray.
What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.
