The Defiant visits AR-558 to deliver reinforcements. The senior officers remain on the planet to help defend a Dominion communications array which the Federation has captured. Despite a difficult tactical situation, they are able to fend off Jem'Hadar attacks and hold the array. During the battle, Cadet Nog loses his leg when he is shot with a Dominion weapon. [1]
