Plotline

After studying Georgiou's condition, Culber is visited by Dr. Kovich, a mysterious Starfleet operative. He explains that since Georgiou has both travelled through time and across universes, her molecules have moved too far from their origin and she is now likely to die. After consulting with Discovery's computer, which has been augmented with Sphere data, Culber believes that Georgiou could be saved by travelling to the uninhabited planet, Dannus V.

Stamets and Adira are able to use the SB-19 data to trace the source of the Burn to the Verubin Nebula. They discover a distress signal from a Kelpien starship originating from a planet within the nebula.

On Dannus V, Georgiou and Burnham encounter a strange being named Carl who directs Georgiou to a door. Going through the door, she finds herself back in the Mirror Universe while she was Emperor. Georgiou finds that her time with Discovery has made her a better person and she decides to use her knowledge of the past to alter certain events, including rescuing the slave Saru and sparing the life of the Mirror Michael Burnham.
