Plotline

Going along with Janeway's training program, Dal and the crew find an M-Class planet and decide to land the Protostar on its surface to investigate. Using the ship's wheeled exploration vehicle The Runaway, the crew finds the planet to be almost perfect. They decide to split up and explore. Exploring alone, each one finds the thing they desire most. For Dal it is a representation of the parents that he does not remember. He soon realizes that this is an illusion generated by the planet and races to tell the others.

On the Protostar, Gwyn escapes from the brig and takes over the ship. The ship is attacked by vines that start encasing it. She and Murf are able to escape just before the plants throw the ship ten kilometers away.
