Plotline

Inside Picard's mind Tallinn relives memories from his childhood where his father is abusive to his mother. Eventually, they piece together memories that show that his mother suffered from mental illness, with periods of darkness. His father, it turned out, was only attempting to protect his mother and Jean-Luc from coming to any harm. Picard wakes from his coma and Tallinn reveals that she is actually a Romulan. Picard surmises that she may be an ancester of Laris.

Picard returns to Guinan's bar and asks her to summon Q. The ritual fails and an FBI agent, Martin Wells, enters instead, arresting them both, showing them footage of Picard using a transporter.

Rios beams Teresa and her son onto La Sirena, explaining that he is from the future.

Raffi and Seven of Nine discover that the ship's computer system has been re-infected with Borg technology, which Agnes had previously purged. Security footage shows that it was Agnes that infected the system. Agnes is missing since the gala and they start tracking her. They find a window in a bar that Agnes broke and work out that doing it caused endorphin release, which they surmise will allow the Queen more control.
