Review : I watched this episode three times before I decided to write a review. I had to realize that there is a supreme difference between what is popular and fun to watch and what is canonically accurate and pleasing to the multitude of stickler fans. It is impossible and probably wrong to separate the five live-action series of Trek in our minds. Therefore, when I finally accomplished this seemingly-horrendous task, I found myself enjoying it immensely. I gave it a 3 instead of a 4 or 5 because I happen to agree with the majority of those stickler fans when they say that it isn't everything it could have been. The technology of Starfleet is indeed in its' infancy and besides the stylings of the latest Enterprise, they got it quite right. The crew's unwillingness to use the transporters is quite humorous to say the least. Overall, not a bad episode and one I wouldn't mind watching again.
Title : Fight or Flight Rating : 2
Writers : Rick Berman, Brannon Braga Year : 2151
Review : This eppy saw the character of Hoshi become a space-worthy boomer. I enjoyed seeing that. It got a 2 rating because of the animal they used for Hoshi's parallel emotional connection. A slug? Really? With today's advances in incredible computer technology, they could have created an incredible life form for her to drag around - perhaps a tiny marsupial with massive eyes? But, alas, we will have to settle with this slimy slug. For whatever reason, Hoshi feels a connection with this "thing" and in the closing scene, gets to transplant it to a habitable planet capable of supporting its' life. Not an eppy I'll be showing my friends.

Review : I don't believe that any episode deserves a "0". After all, it is Star Trek. However, this eppy almost drove me to push that elusive button. I never like "bottle shows". Ever. In fact, every episode that has even the slightest possibility of being labeled a "bottle show", I will slash it in the ratings. Besides the graphically perfect phase pistol shots, this eppy really didn't have a lot going on. I enjoyed the pre-U.T. stuff going on again. I just adored the Hoshi/T'pol Vulcan language communique. They got a few things totally right.
Title : Unexpected Rating : 0

Review : I lied. At one point, I informed the reader that no episode deserves a "0". This one does. Besides Trip's amusing banter and his reluctance for anyone to find out about his supposed misconduct, this episode was a miserable flop bringing us all the pleasure of a plucked nose hair. Holographic technology? Really? What a novel idea. Haven't seen this before. I don't believe I'll be watching this one again.
