Notes

This vessel was encountered by the NX-01 in 2153 whilst exploring a hypergiant star. The Vissian ship is in the region of four hundred metres long, and employs much more advanced technology than Earth ships of the period. The warp core emitted omicron radiation, requiring any who approached it to be innoculated in advance. The antimatter stream wass compressed before the deuterium was injected into the core, removing the need for magnetic confinement. When the engine reached critical mass a mixture of positrons and neutrinos was injected into the chamber, boosting efficiency by more than 30%. The engine also used So a rotating quantum inverter design which tripled the anitmatter. Polymers used in the engine systems were composed of over 200 naturally occurring elements. [3]
