Universe : Prime Timeline
Name : Faren Kag [1]
Species : Bajorans

A Bajoran native, Faren lived in a small village. In 2369 he asked Deep Space Nine for medical assistance for his village's Sirah, who was near to death. Faren, along with the majority of the village, believed that the village would be destroyed by the supernatural "Dal Rok" if the Sirah died without leaving a successor. When the Sirah did indeed die he nominated Miles O'Brien as his successor. Faren offered the chief many gifts, including several young women, to induce him to accept the role. Eventually Faren was convinced to allow the Sirah's apprentice, Hovath, to take the role. [1]
