Marla was a character imagined by Deanna Troi during a highly detailed hallucination she experienced in 2370. She was a Human, a native of Mars in the Sol system. her parents were Ellen and William R. Finn. She graduated from Starfleet Academy on Stardate 40591.5 with an efficiency rating of 8.9, and had a specialist rating 2 in warp field stabilizers. Shortly after graduation she served on the USS Silversides, where she recieved the Jalhal Award for warp field studies. Later she served at the fleet yards at Utopia Planitia where she assisted in the construction of the Enterpise-D. Whilst there she was romantically involved with Walter Pierce, but had an affair with another man. The trio went missing on Stardate 40987.2, and nothing was known of their whereabouts until 2370 when it was discovered that Pierce had killed Finn and her lover then committed suicide by throwing himself into a plasma stream. [1]
