TimelineQuotes
Universe : Prime Timeline
Name : Viceroy Vkruk [1]
Species : Remans

A Reman, Viceroy [2] Vkruk [1] was a significant figure in the attempt made by Shinzon to overthrow the Romulan government and launch a genocidal attack on the planet Earth in 2379. He first met Shinzon in the Reman dilithium mines, becoming the boy's protector and father figure. He raised Shinzon to consider himself Reman. When Shinzon rose to power [2] Vkruk [1] served as his second in command, using his telepathic abilities to stave off the effects of Shinzon's cellular decay whilst they attempted to find a more permanent solution. He also utilised his telepathic abilities to invade the mind of Counselor Troi, although this backfired when she was later able to use the link he established to locate the cloaked Scimitar, allowing the Enterprise-E to target it with a salvo of Quantum torpedoes and inflict a degree of damage on the ship. [2]

Vkruk [1] led a boarding party aboard the Enterprise during the battle in an attempt to capture Captain Picard, hoping that an infusion of the DNA Shinzon was cloned from would help to cure him of his condition. Commander Riker isolated and then killed the Viceroy during the battle, ultimately pushing him down a deep shaft in the ship. [2]
