John Rambo

Post by Tsukiyumi »

I don't know if any of you guys are fans of Rambo at all; I fondly remember the films from my childhood, and the first one is an all-around great movie.

This: http://www.ifilm.com/video/2856280
makes me think they finally got a good script together for a proper sequel.

Any thoughts?

I can't believe that somebody is finally making an action movie that doesn't pull it's punches. Woo Hoo! I'm actually daring to hope that this might actually be good!

That's quite similar to what I was thinking.

I don't care how unrealistic it is; I'm seeing this.

In the 'green-band' trailer, it shows him forging what looks like a machete. I think that's what he uses to lop off the unsuspecting Burmese guy's head. You could sever a head with a well-made machete.

And very easily with a well made Khukri and experience in using it.

Yeah, the gurka weapon is an almost perfect expression of a well-planned killing implement. Or the Thai krabi.

That was an awesome trailer! I was so surprised that the trailer wasn't rated G especially when the heads starting to pop off.

I didn't see the new Rocky but I'll see this :)

As much as I hate to say it, any discussion of Rambo will forever be tainted in my mind with an image of Charlie Sheen shooting a chicken froma compound bow.
