Dragon Age Origins

Really worth getting. Made by the same people who Mass Effect and KOTOR. I just got it myself so I haven't had a chance to explore it as well as I'd like but so far I really like what I see.
How many Minbari does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

Got this the day it was released. It has a steep learning curve. For example if you don't setup your parties tactics properly they will all just rush in and die, including the girl who when you get her is already setup as an archer. She will switch to melee and run in and get shanked.

Intially I was thrown off cause Mass Effect had actual dialogue for your character where this just has you pick your dialogue and there is no voice. It's pretty damn addictive despite being inferior to Mass Effect in practically every way, save plot. The first time you kill a High Dragon though, oh man is it ever awesome.

I never did kill that dragon. Just the boss one.

I really enjoyed it having beat it now too. Took 80 hours of game time. I killed the healer they were going to give my party whoops. But alls well that ended well. And I had a good ending. I didn't think the learning curve was that bad. My character was a tank, since that's what I am in WoW, and because of that the rest of the party's default tactics were good enough. I suppose if you are anything besides a tank then that might be a problem since you have to assign either Alistar or Sten the tanking role.

If you play as a Rogue or a Mage then that way lies death. Shale is the key to dragon bashing though, get him a fire resistance crystal and ramp his constitution up and your good to go. Even against Flemoth, whose probably the hardest baddie in the game.

The Archdemon goes down easy if you summon your army to distract it.

Where do you find all these high dragons? I found Andraste but didn't kill her and the archdemon and that was it :P

And I don't have Shale. The problem with not actually buying the game :p

Andraste, Morrigan's mother (if you actually try to kill her) shifts into a dragon and the Archdemon (though that's more of a corrupt dragon). Of course there is a crapload of Dragonkin around; drakes, dragons, dragonlings. You can use the scales from Drakes and the High Dragons to craft some awesome armour in Wades Emporium in Denerim.

Is this game a first person, or a third person? My problem with motion sickness limits my gaming choices.

Oh I sparred Flemoth reason I didn't recognize the name as a dragon :P I've got her as an old lady played by Captain Janeway in my head. She is played by Captain Janeway right? And Morrigan is Claudia Black right?

Morrigan is Claudia Black. I'm pretty sure Flemoth is Kate Mulgrew.

I took pity on her. I figured she wouldn't be able to find her way back :P
