I have to admit...I would love to have Tarantino have a go at a Star Trek movie. Say what you will about Tarantino (and yes, most of his movies end up being way too long) but at least he can write INTERESTING dialogue, something most movies are missing nowadays.
Altough I think a variant on Yesterday's Enterprise would not work nowadays. Part of why this episode works so well is because it could work with - by then - well established characters and all the small changes are becoming painfully obvious.
