Abrams Universe
The Trek XI forum has been renamed the Abrams Universe forum, since there's going to be at least one more film set in it.

Makes sense.
No trees were killed in transmission of this message. However, some electrons were mildly inconvenienced.
Re: Abrams Universe
Yeah. Hopefull there is more in this universe than just a handful of Trek movies.

Re: Abrams Universe
Do we give him all of the rights to that universe, or is there a more general name that could be used?

Re: Abrams Universe
I thought over a few different titles, and this seemed to be the one that fitted best.

He's the one running it now, so yes. Since Gene died, it's really been the Bermanverse; now, control has thankfully been given to someone with talent.Jim wrote:Do we give him all of the rights to that universe, or is there a more general name that could be used?
So, now, it's the Abrams era of Trek.
Long live Abrams.

Re: Abrams Universe
I went with the Abrams Universe because he's essentially invented it, albeit inheriting an awful lot from before. Even if somebody else makes Trek XIII, it's still going to be in the "Abrams universe" much as later seasons of TNG were in what we could call the "Roddenberry Universe".
Anyway, we all know what it refers to and that's all that really matters...

Can't we call it the "Jim is great!" Universe... even though I had nothing to do with it...?
