Well the deal is done. My parents have both agreed that the Ford Fiesta was an unnecessary and costly buy, and since she is the least efficient and spacious of our two cars we decided to chop her for a small dinky car. And here we are, the Chevrolet Spark (you Americans are gonna get it couple of years). We managed to get her for only £1000 after trading ours, considering depreciation that isn't half bad. We're picking her up sunday, as we got the showroom car.

In other news, I have managed to complete assignments on time for once. Huzzah!

It has no handles for the back doors...

Look at the back of the window frame, that matte plastic bit contains the handles.

It's stealing from Alpha Romeo on that front. Hardly a bad thing in my mind, because Alpha is basically the unreliable embodiment of motoring heaven. Even if Heaven spends most of its time on the side of the road.

I'm actually glad to be working the weekends right now. Had to go do volunteer work with the wife this morning, helping run a booth for her rotery club at the annual strawberry festable. I kept trying to tell myself, "this is for charity, it's for orphans, it's a good cause." But fuck, I just wanted to get out of there. Screaming kids everywhere, and working the booth reminded me way too much of working retail. Was so glad to be able to say "Got to go, work."

Does that make me a bad person?

Why on earth are you going to Frankfurt. I've been there and there's only about 1000 square meters of it that are worth seeing. Once that half hour is over what do you do then. We got so board that we got a train to Heidelburg, which is worth a visit.
Glad to know that.
I went there on a business trip last year, and visited the old town.
I only had a few hours to visit, so I planned on going again someday to really take my time and see everything.
I guess I'll plan visits to other German cities then...
There's plenty of other good cities in Germany, Berlin is interesting for it's history...
