An Orion alcoholic drink, Mandisa was known for being an aphrodisiac. Sale of Mandisa was illegal within the Federation as of 2265. [1]

In that year Commander Scott attempted to purchase some Mandisa from the Orion merchant and gangster, Ganz. Tired of being asked for the drink, Ganz threatened to have Scotty thrown out of an airlock if he asked for it. Scotty asked Ganz to recommend an exotic alternative instead, and was supplied with a green drink - possibly the one that he would later drink with Tomar in 2368. [1]
