YATI : During the last scene, McCoy is shown wearing a yellow uniform rather than a blue one.
Great Moment :
Body Count :
Factoid : This episode shows the Enterprise's hangar bay doors opening from the outside, something never once seen in TOS because the cost was too high.

Nurse Chapel is called 'Lieutenant' in this episode, establisheing for the first time what her rank is.

My year for this episode is estimated from the Stardate; it is one of a group of TAS episodes set between 'The Empath' and 'The Mark of Gideon'.

This episode is a nominee for the DITL "Best of Trek" award.

Quote : "Jim, whenever I'm in jail again, don't send that Vulcan. Let me rot." - McCoy to Kirk.

Nineteen years earlier McCoy had created an vaccine for a Saurian virus on Dramia II, but after he left a plague wiped out most of the population. The Enterprise must save it's Chief Medical Officer - and deal with a new outbreak of the same plague which threatens the crew.
