Review

Series : Enterprise Rating : 2
Disc No : 1.4 Episode : 19
First Aired : 27 Mar 2002 Stardate : Unknown
Director : James Whitmore, Jr. Year : 2151
Writers : Andre Jacquemetton, Brannon Braga, Maria Jacquemetton, Rick Berman Season : 1
Guest Cast :
Clint Howard as Muk
Ethan Phillips as Ulis
Jeffrey Combs as Krem
Matt Malloy as Grish
Moral :
Greed : Greed can make you do stupid things
YATI : Okay, I know that only a few people saw them, and I know that the word "Ferengi" was never used in the presence of a Human... but it's just wrong for the Ferengi to show up this early. If they are anywhere near Human space at this point in history, they should be a well known species by the time of TNG! And at the very least Archer and co. would have made drawings of the new aliens for Starfleet, drawings that Data at least would have known about and commented upon when the Enterprise-D finally met the Ferengi.
Also, in DS9's "Body Parts" the first Ferengi Grand Nagus claimed that he had written the Rules of Acquisition. Yet while there were 285 rules in DS9 - stated in "Rules of Acquisition" - it is claimed that there are only 173 rules in this episode. If the rules have been added to over time, how can Gint claim authorship? Was he just lying?
Great Moment : T'Pol has two good moments here. First when she plays up to the Ferengi - the genesis of Quark's "Vulcan Love Slave" holoprogram perhaps? And second, her threatening not to release Archer from his cuffs for the nasty things he said about Vulcans.
Body Count : No dead; the whole crew of Enterprise are knocked out, Archer is beaten up yet again, and several Ferengi are stunned (in more ways than one).
Factoid : Archer states that there are 14 weapons lockers aboard Enterprise.

Plotline

When a group of Ferengi render the crew of Enterprise unconscious and board the ship to loot it, Trip is the only one left awake. He manages to revive Archer and T'Pol, and together they battle to outwit the invaders and gain control again.
