YATI :
When the dog/alien attacks Geordi, the Engineer does an excellent job of dodging about and then grabs a phaser from one of his draws and vapourises it. I find it interesting that Geordi keeps a phaser in his quarters, but more importantly - why does he never once call for help from security?
Great Moment :
There's little that is exceptional about this one, but it's nice to see a subspace relay at last.
Body Count :
Three - the commander of the relay station, the dog and the alien goo-monster.
Factoid :
This episode was originally conceived to provide a love interest for La Forge. Initially Aquiel was to have been the real killer, but this made the script seem a little too much like a copy of the movie "Basic Instinct". Both the dead Rocha and the Klingon were next considered as the killer but dropped for being too obvious. Finally Ron Moore half jokingly suggested that the dog could become the killer!

Plotline

Geordi falls in love - but it soon starts to look like the object of his affections is a shape shifting monster.
