Title : The Forsaken Rating : 3

Review : We get a chance to see Odo in horrible shape for the first time. Also, Lwaxana Troi makes an unforgettable appearance! Odo and Lwaxana's relationship is priceless and something that should have been brought up again. Overall, a wonderful episode!
Title : Encounter at Farpoint Rating : 2

Review : I wish I could give this pilot a 4 or a 5 - especially considering what the rest of the series is like - but I just can't do it. It didn't have the charisma and pinache of DS9's or the excitement of Voyager's. TNG has a fantastic cast though, and that's really what saved this episode for me. Jean-Luc Picard? Really? He is the man with the plan. Q is ground beef for Picard. Incredible captain. Bald head or no, Picard will be one of the best captains in all of starfleet. Incredible to know that this shaky start will eventually turn into one of the most successful spinoff shows ever produced. If you're a newcomer to Trek, hang in there. It gets MUCH better. I do have to admit, the "judging the human race" concept is pretty deep in comparison to what we get today - teenage vampires and people getting stuck on tropical islands! Overall, not a bad episode, just not the best.

Review : Stunning. Incredible. Amazing. Those are the three words that best describe "Duet". It is a breathtaking episode from start to finish. Marritza just might be my favorite guest character of all time. He was epically acted and portrayed. Just incredible. If there were one episode that I had to show my non-Star Trek friends, this might be it. Such wonderful writing and plotlines. I just don't have enough time or room to tell how good it was. I would give it ten commbadges if I could. Send this episode to the "Best Ever" vault. The ending gave my goosebumps, sent chills up my spine and made me completely tear up. Won't find too many shows today that have that effect on people. Go out right now and show this episode to anyone you meet!

Review : One of the best Star Trek episodes EVER. Period. I cried through most of the episode - unashamedly. My wife thinks I'm crazy but, I'm just in love with the characters, the acting, the plot, the story and the emotion of this episode. My goodness, an old Jake Sisko commits suicide to send his father back to the proper time? Such love! I could see my father doing this for me, or me doing this for my father. In a heartbeat! That's what love is - and that's what this father and son have for each other. This is not just a great episode, this is not just a fantastic episode, this just might be - in all seriousness - one of the best episodes of any Star Trek series ever. I'm not just spreading the butter all over this bread. I'm completely serious and I think a lot of people just might agree with me. Such writing and depth of emotion. I could watch this. All. Day. Long.
Title : You are Cordially Invited... Rating : 3
Writers : Ronald D. Moore Year : 2374
Review : I'm giving this episode a 3. We've just come through a massive 6-episode story arc and it's a tough act to follow. However, they've done fairly well - considering. Jadzia Dax marries the love of her life - Worf. He is a tough guy to fall in love with, but Dax does so - in spades. Together, they complete the trials and tribulations of the pre-wedding Klingon crap and make it to the "altar" - so to speak... They are married with just the right amount of pain, emotion and cleavage. I gave this a 3 also for the reason that the crew of the Enterprise-E aren't there to celebrate with their long-time friend and comrade, Worf. If your friend and long-time comrade is getting married tomorrow, you'd find a way to get there to support them, right? I'm a bit peeved. I do understand the reasons - probably mainly for budgetary and storyline reasons, but goodness! Why not have Riker and Picard show up? They would instantly add a star to any situation! It was a good episode, but not the very best.

Review : Great episode. I didn't say it was "best" episode, but, it is pretty great. The pacing of any 45-minute episode is a hard thing to write for. Many movies are much better - not because they have bigger budgets or writers - but because they have a longer time to tell the story that needs telling. I appreciate what writers can do in a smaller amount of time - like a Star Trek TV show. They indeed got the story right and the pacing is perfect. I literally got paranoid when Seven was digging up all the tidbits of data here and there. I'd like to know where the idea for this episode originated. Good stuff. Anything with Seven digging up clues is going to be a good thing. Watch it. I know you'll enjoy it.
Title : Faces Rating : 5
Writers : Kenneth Biller, Jonathan Glassner Year : 2371
Review : Who would've thought that such a good episode could originate in a Trek's first season? I certainly didn't! Voyager's lovely Torres has captured the attention and admiration of the audience with her rendition of two separate entities that used to be merely one. In this episode, we get to see what Roxanne Dawson can do. It was a pleasure seeing someone with that much talent finally getting to unleash it. In a Vidiian lab, Torres gets genetically separated and gets to literally speak with herself. Half of her is Klingon with the other half being human. She gets to communicate with her completely Klingon self in what is a very revealing and satisfactory storyline. So proud of is gem.
