Title : Imzadi Rating : 5
Writers : Peter David Year : 1992
Review : A very beautiful story about the young Riker meeting the young Troi when he was stationed on Betazed. The story began with the Guardian of Forever, and ended at present time. The old Admiral Riker travelling through time to save the love of his life. A very good read for TNG fans.
Title : The Return Rating : 3
Writers : William Shatner Year : 1996
Review : A very action-oriented book. It describes how Krik was revived from his grave at Veridian II after his death in Generations. The story mainly focuses on Kirk, while TOS characters play a larger part than the TNG cast. Interesting, but could have been better.
Title : Imzadi Book 2 : Triangle Rating : 4
Writers : Peter David Year : 1998
Review : A continuation of the book Imzadi, this book dealt with how Deanna got involved with Worf, William Riker, and Thomas Riker. The story is markedly more action pack than its predecesor. And it it is well paced, and the plots is interesting. This book series deserve another sequel.
Title : Star Trek : The Next Generation Technical Manual Rating : 5
Writers : Michael Okuda, Rick Sternbach Year : 1991
Review : THis books is a facinating 24th century look at the technology on board the Enterprise D. The simple layout adds to the realism as it does look like a tech manual. The writers did a good job suspending believe, getting into technical details without having to relate to present day science. And there are little backstage information scattered throughout the section whenever appropriate. Very interesting read.
Title : Star Trek: The Next Generation U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D Blueprints Rating : 3
Writers : Rick Sternbach Year : 1996
Review : Interesting book. The brief introduction booklet was interesting. But the blueprints themselves are rather boring. They only managed to get the place on the right decks. But the corridors don't even conform to the shape of the studio sets. But I do applaud their effort. And it is interesting for any die hard fan who has to have everything last technical readout of the Enterprise D.
