Daughter of Tasha Yar, Sela was born when Yar agreed to become the consort of a Romulan in exchange for the lives of the Enterprise-C survivors. Sela was born of that union. When Sela was a child, Yar attempted to escape with her but Sela raised the alarm and Yar was caught and subsequently executed. As an adult Sela worked for the Romulan military, and was in charge of the attempt to subvert the Klingon Empire in 2367. [2] She failed thanks to the actions of Lieutenant Commander Data. [3] In 2368 Sela was in charge of the attempt to conquer Vulcan, which also failed thanks to the Enterprise-D crew. [4]
