A crew member aboard Voyager, Swinn took over from Neelix in the kitchen when he and Tuvok were combined in a transporter accident. Swinn struggled to cope with the job, and was glad when Tuvix stepped in to help. [2] When Captain Janeway and Chakotay were abandoned on a planet after contracting a deadly disease in 2372, Swinn was one of those who found it difficult to deal with the decision. [3]
