A member of the Romulan Senate in 2154, Vrax supported Admiral Valdore's project to provoke war between the major powers around Romulan space using drone ships to simulate attacks by these powers on one another. [2] Vrax worried about the success of the project when one of the ships was boarded by Humans, and was quick to assure Valdore that they would both share equally in any punishment for failure. Vrax travelled in the company of a pair of Reman bodyguards. [3]

By 2265 Vrax had more than a century of experience in the Senate, and had risen to the position of Praetor. Even after all that time he never failed to be moved by walking onto the floor of the Senate. In 2265 Vrax took part in a meeting to discuss the loss of the warship Bloodied Talon and the situation in the Taurus Reach. [4]
