A Nygean, Yediq was the head warden on the Nygean prison ship which Voyager assisted in 2377. He was convinced that his prisoners were not entitled to decent treatment, and came into conflict with Captain Janeway on this issue whilst she was transporting his prisoners. He was distrustful of Iko's change of attitude during the trip, but when Iko saved Yediq's life during a prison break he began to soften his attitude. [1]
