So my phone is blowing up about a baby Yoda and some pictures.

Basically looks like Gizmo but green and no fur.

So much for me avoiding spoilers...

Same for me, except I ain't so clever as you and was totally confused as to what a Treasure Troll has to do with Star Wars, and I decided in that moment that if Star Wars was being presented in the form of Treasure Trolls my next thought would be, "Shut up and take my money!"

I wasn't clever at all. It was captioned as "Attention Nerds: Baby Yoda. That is all"

Wow. What a dickhead title. They're supposed to give at least two weeks before spoiling.

Well no one told whoever made the post and then my cousin shared it with me. He probably didn't know about that spoiler ban.

Keep in mind I can't watch it because no VPN and di**heads+ are banning people that use them anyway...

I take it this is the plot:

Boba's son is taking on the mantle of Bounty Hunter, and gets the job of stealing a baby of Yoda's species, but it had to go unnoticed so they made a puppet, but Mr Fett, not yet old enough to know that Holograms aren't People (Sorry EMH, but not in this franchise), suggested a CGI hologram. his partner in this literally kidnapping tale, Werner from the planet 'German', didn't want to steal a baby and called them cowards.

So episode four was pretty good. One might even call it... Magnificent.

So I've been enjoying this show, and really liked the season finale.

I think they're doing the fanservice stuff in a very clever way, because it feels like it's just part of the world and not "hey, look at this!" Like how the boss guy flies around in a Tie fighter. It's not like the camera pans across and the music swells in a "Whoooaaa! It's a Tie fighter!" way, it's just something he uses. There's a TON of stuff from the movies in this show, but it all feels very much like it's just kinda there.

And as it turns out, Mando really is Pedro whatsit, and there's no reveal that it's a woman under there or anything. So I was very wrong about that.

Baby Yoda continues to be adorable. I'm starting to think that he uses the force as a getout a bit too often; I was half expecting him to crash the Tie, and I think it was very wise of the producers that he didn't. And how fricken cute was "Do the magic hand thing!" and Baby Yoda just gives him a cute little wave.

My one concern... and it's only a concern, not an actual complaint at this point... is that the show is pretty thin thus far. We have the overarching story that Mando is on the run and the Empire is trying to get him. And that's pretty much it, that's the whole show. I'd like to see the canvas expand next season, see more going on. Maybe see what other characters are doing, set up multiple storylines that can criss-cross.

But still loving it.

Finally caught up and finished it.

Yes Baby Yoda is absolutely adorable.

I am still calling it: Babysitting Adventures With Baby Yoda.

The MandoYoda?
The ManYoda?
The Yodalorian?

...

-

Ep 5 slightly reimagined with Yoda Fett:

Vader: "And No Disintigrations"

Yoda Fett: "Cost Extra, that will."

Vader: ... "Cost Extra That Wi...- Hm. Strong with the force, This one.... Damn now you got me doing it."

Later:

Yoda Fett: "Dead, No Good is he to me, Hmm."

So, no one wants to know about the weapon Moff Gideon uses at the end, the Darksaber?

Or no speculation about that mysterious figure (Boba Fett?) who showed up to inspect the dead assassin in the Tatooine episode?

At this point we've seen so many glowy cutty things, I just took it to be a version of a lightsaber he'd built.
