The witcher Geralt, a mutated monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts.
I only know that this is based on a series of video games.

Couple of good things in the trailer...couple of bad things....

The biggest mistep seems the casting....Geralt isn't a Henry Cavil pretty boy....and some of the other characters...if I weren't told who they are supposed to be I wouldn't know, so that is probably not a good sign.....

That being said there are a couple of good things in it as well, the sword choreographie seems right, the world seems high value enough, Yennifer was cast well from what I could see (especially her disfigured form).....

Still....when all is said and done I would have preferred a CGI Mini-Series with the iconic Voice Actors from the games but maybe that's just me.

(P.S....I also...very much...miss Geralts leit-motif......I thought the whole trailer builds up to it...and then nothing...such a shame and missed opportunity for Witcher fans;))

Actually it turns out that this show is based on the books and not the games. I didn't know there was a series of "The Witcher" books until yesterday.

Enjoyed season 1 enough to start season two today...still good and much less time skipping around.

Started the third season today..8 total episodes releasing in 2 drops...5 this month and 3 in late July...no idea why the split drop from Netflix but maybe because Cavill is leaving the franchaise (Liam Hemsworth taking over), they wanted to stretch it out. I'm three episodes in and still finding some enjoyable moments.

Finished the last 3 episodes: what an awful sendoff for Cavill. Main characters were left without much to do to finish out the season. Puts season 4 into question for lots of fans..meh!
