The Strangest film ever?

Post by Reliant121 »

Saw the worst film bit and thought of a new one.

I'm going with a French film called 'Amelie'(English name) or 'Le Fabuleax Destin D'Amelie Poulon' (French name).

'Man with a Movie Camera' was pretty strange.

I actually fell asleep about ten minutes into Amelie... woke for the last twenty minutes and had no idea what the hell was going on.

I think Buffalo '66 was the weirdest movie I've seen. Either that or Dark Star.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail had the weirdest ending, in my opinion. Not saying that it was bad, mind you.

Donnie Darko wrecked my head trying to figure out what the heck was going.

I really wanted to like Brazil, I like to watch classic films, and ones that break from the formula and challenge the viewer, and part of it was filmed in my home town. Unfortunately, I absolutely hated it.

There were two endings - the original "happy" ending, against Gilliam's wishes, and the desolate hopeless one, which is what he had planned all along. Make sure you've seen the hopeless sad one, because it's far better.

Guildenstern And Rosencrantz Are Dead. That's a fairly odd film.
