No need to pick up the latest issue of Rolling Stone to learn which are “the 5 most dangerous guns in America;” National Review’s Charles C. W. Cooke has recompiled the exhaustive list at NRO. Drum roll, please.
1.Pistols
2.Revolvers
3.Rifles
4.Shotguns
5.Derringers

Rolling Stone based its ratings on “a combination of availability, portability and criminal usage.” Some, however, question the expertise of Rolling Stone when it comes to deadly weapons.
Professional marksman “Top Shot” Chris Cheng, for example, retweeted this alternative list of dangerous knives.

- sharp ones
- dull ones
- metal ones
- big ones
- machetes—

That list is actually worse than the "foods that nutritionists don't eat" story on Yahoo the other day.

Instead of a juicy bacon-cheeseburger with fires and a beer... substitute it with a dry mixed field green salad with mixed veggies and a glass of green tea. Um... in what world does that come CLOSE to being a substitute?

Instead of a pizza with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, olives, etc... substitute a vegan white pizza with fresh vegetables. Um... that is veggies on bread, not pizza.

apparently being a nutritionist means that you completely loose the ability to make rational comparisons.

I'm as flabbergasted as you are about the article, but this statement couldn't be more wrong. A pistol is a handheld (single grip, unstocked) firearm with the breech integral to the chamber. A derringer is a pistol, as you say, as a semi-automatic handgun is. A revolver is patently NOT a pistol, as the chambers are in the cylinder and thus completely separate from the breech/boltface/hammer and pin assembly. Both revolvers and pistols are handguns, but revolvers ain't pistols.

*EDIT* I beg your pardon, I meant to say "barrel integral to the chamber." Either way, revolvers don't fit the definition.

There was just a study out the other day by some university in the UK, about how vegans and vegetarians are massively more likely to have eating disorders and be unsatisfied with their diets.

I guess I'm half safe then, as a Pescetarian.
