So I found on a site that since the Cylon War started 52 years BCH (or Before the Colonial Holocaust), does that mean that Galactica IS, quite literally, THE first battlestar EVER built, since she entered service 2 years later (or ca. 50 years BCH)?

Not necessarily the first of the lot, but she was one of the first batch.
