Okay, let's try to do something and establish something here. We know that the starship Enterprise has a device known as a warp drive. We know that the Battlestar Galactica has an FTL Jump.
1. Aren't they kind of the same, seeing as how FTL means, "Faster than Light?"
2. What would the Galactica's speed be equivalent to in terms of Warp Drive? Like what warp factor?
FTL comparisons.

Re: FTL comparisons.
No.
They are shown to be totally different.
Warp is compressing space around you to travel faster that light.
BSG is shown to jump.
You couldn't place it on warp scale since it is instant. If anything it's warp 10 but with a limited range. We are never given clear distances in BSG.

What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Re: FTL comparisons.
IMO, as far as the nuBSG is concerned their FTL drive can be mere light years. Planets and solar systems are turning up to be more common than you think.
Star Trek has the advantage of being constantly fast.
If you are talking about the older BSG than I have no idea.
