12. Infinite scourge of the galaxy, malignant foe of the intrepid Doctor, and enemy to all of Gallifrey… also, lighter than air, apparently.

With the power of a giant WWE star, Patrick Troughton was able in one episode to almost effortlessly lift one of the skirted demons above his head (carefully bending his knees, obviously) and slam it to the floor. Considering even the fake MDF prop versions must have weighed a ton, clearly Troughton was handily given one made of polystyrene.

What exactly does it say for the Daleks imposing image that a relatively old man was able to not only best, but physically humiliate one? If they wore pants, he would have just pulled them down.

That wasn't Patrick Troughton. That was from the Hartnell-era serial 'The Chase'. It was an animatronic Frankenstein's monster doing the deed.

Still humiliating as hell, mind.

Ironically the the same story showed Daleks driving around the quaterdeck of the Mary Celeste - up a couple of steps from where they landed their Tardis.

And one of them slid off the deck, hit the water and broke apart upon impact, screaming in terror the entire way. ;)

Sorry. The Chase was the first serial i saw in its entirety. The local PBS station played it almost every pledge drive. There was also them not killing the local yokel in New York City, as well. They seemed to be frustrated with the dork. :D
