Dawn of War video games
Does anyone here play? There seems to be a strange shortage of players for this game in spite of the Warhammer crowd online.

I never picked up either DoW... I have no idea why, just never got 'em.
I can't stand nothing dull

Played both DoW1 and all expansion and DoW2 except the latest expansion.
Liked them, but not enough to play online. DoW2 is rather nice, altough both titles are a bit to....I don't know......starcrafty? What I mean is that imho the art style is a bit to flashy, colourful, comic-like. I'd have prefered a grittier, more realistic, more gothic style......like the black and white pictures from Kopinski, somthing more like that:

I only play the rather fun game mode Last Stand of Chaos Rising and Retribution.

Aki, the problem is that if they tries to amp up the graphics to much then most computers couldn't run the game. Also if they make the game to gritty then you can't market it for kids or causal gamers. The final reason is development time, trying to detail to much of a game slows production time and raises production cost.
