Its those kinds of people as to why I think DS9 was such a good show. Janeway, Picard or Archer couldn't have carried themselves against someone like Dukat. Sisko was needed as the counter for Dukat. Thats mostly because Sisko is the same as Dukat in all but a single fashion. That being that Sisko is driven by his moral compass where Dukat sees it as merely a tool to use against so who allow themselves to be swayed by their personal feelings.

I noticed you didn't include Kirk in that list who couldn't carry themselves against Dukat.

Because Kirk wouldn't have carried himself avaunt Dukat. Kirk would have beat the hell out of him, slept with his wife, slept with the Prophets, then to top it off would have beat up Worf just to say he hit a Klingon that episode.

I was thinking about it, and you know....I really think Janeway could have dealt with Dukat as well. After all, she's as psychotic and unpredictable as he is. Where Sisko was his match, and Kirk would beat the hell out of him, Janeway would have simply killed him at her first oppertunity.

Problem is that Janeway was fooled often enough by people playing the "Moral High Ground" card. The major problem is that that was Dukat's favorite playing ground. Moral high ground doesn't matter to Sisko... at all. He punched Q, started a war with the Klingons, bio-wrecked a planet with Federation citizens on it and at the end of it turned around and picked a fight with the Dominion fleet.

Fixed. I fail to see the logic in insulting Kirk in such a manner, and as much as we might wish otherwise Kirk's performance in the 24th century was substandard.

Agreed, while Kirk may have been showing his age (along with Shatner.) He still went into battle with the same strength of character that so many of us grew to respect. After Picard picked up Kirk, Kirk should have put Picard in timeout and brought in the Sisko. Though that would have meant the fight would have lasted about two seconds and we wouldn't have gotten Kirk's death scene which I really liked.
