Ship of the week: Ambassador

Post by Teaos »

The last of the Enterprises to be covered by us and the one we know the least about.

The name implies it was a diplomatic ship which suit the era of peace it was built during. But it also has a fair bit of fire power behind it as the Enterprise C was able to take on several Romulan warbirds and put up a damn good fight.

I personally think the ships is butt ugly but I like how it was built to fit the primary roll that was needed. The Feds had had an extended period of peace and thus built their flag ship accordingly. Now that they are under more threat they build stronger ships like the Sovereign. It shows a level of resourcefulness which I like.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

I hate to post this, and I know that most people know all this stuff inside out... but I would love to have a picture of the Ship of the Week posted. Many casual fans of the universe (cough, me, cough) do not know the ships by name alone. This would go with Race of the Week, etc as well.

It says that this one was posted a minute before the one we're all talking in . . . but I can honestly say I never saw this one before. Weird. :?

Ditto - the first I saw of it was after Jim had posted. Weird indeed.

Board malfunction? Hmm, interesting...

And not in a good way, either.

If we have to get on a train to figure out what this thing is doing, count me out.

I'm going to second that.

Sorry, I had bailed to the "real" thread. This was the first I cam across in the surf though so I had posted here first.
