Re: SFDebris: Scorpion
The Harry suffering montage as well as Darth Maul the forgotten Sith were pretty good. The Northwest Passage thing always made me wonder if it was foreshadowing by the Trek writers or if they really didn't know history, or assumed the audience didn't.
Re: SFDebris: Scorpion
I can't wait for more. Scorpion was close to one of my favorites, and only because of the introduction of 8472. I liked the way they were just angry vengeful monsters (from our point of view at least) that couldn't be stopped. It was something different.
Too bad they went and ruined that later on... I preferred them angry.

I'm tempted not to click... ah, kriff it. *Clicks*
Re: SFDebris: Scorpion
Actually I always like 8472 even afterwards. I guess originally they were merely meant as something more powerful than the Borg as shock value. But the way they were treated later on wasn't that bad. Gave them personality, why they fight, and what they feared.
Personally better than some anger monster type.

Okay, after watching... Harry's the living embodiment of the redshirt, ain't he.

His luck's so bad and the Fates hate him so much, the stuff that should normally kill him doesn't. But he still feels it.Reliant121 wrote:Contradiction in terms, man.RK_Striker_JK_5 wrote:living embodiment of the redshirt...
Re: SFDebris: Scorpion
True. But at least he did die once before...

Several times, if I recall correctly. He was replaced once and was only mostly dead on at least one other occasion.McAvoy wrote:But at least he did die once before...

Re: SFDebris: Scorpion
Well maybe he has cat lives. Two more and he is perma-dead. But then again who would notice anyway? Pretty useless character.

Not so much useless just under utilized by the writers. They used him as a butt monkey and nothing else.

Wow, have you seen the video sfdebris just put up? Apparently a major storm hit his house and he was stuck with a bunch of cleanup to do, making him late in putting his videos up. And get this... people are complaining and criticizing him for it!
Give a man a fire, and you keep him warm for a day. SET a man on fire, and you will keep him warm for the rest of his life...
