Oooooh, big choices for Rommie girl?

Also, Where do you want Aureliana and the fighters to go? Every spare port on the Ravage for the moment?

Depends on what's left. If we say we have a total of 1-1/2 left out of three flights, then they could probably be split up between the Paladin and the Ravage, though they wouldn't be able to be launched hot for a combat sortie. Depending on what happens with Robustelli and Sinclair, there's another possibility - they Tigerfish may be left at Limbo Station awaiting a pilot and crew. I.e., stow the fighters (or at least some) and give Biggles and some of her folks the 'Fish once the Ravage reaches station.

Just an idea, the Ravage and Paladin could always "launch" the fighters with transporters.........in other words beam them out into space with engines on standby.

Or, I had an idea. Couldn't we replace the AWACS pod on the Ravage with a modified pod designed as a "carrier" pod?

I had a feeling a long the lines of a jury rigged carrier pod as well. Depends on how they are loaded. If they are loaded into bays with large openable doors then you can fit a fighter wing no problem. If they are fitted with removable cargo "pods" then it becomes more challenging.

Dangerous. You can only launch one at a time that way, and for a moment each fighter would be a big floating target. Even if they make it, it would take too long to form up again.

Interesting. How long would that take to design and install, though?

Here's the only issue:
Beam: 9 M
Height: 4 M
To "face" a bay door, they're a lot wider than long. If we've got 10 or 12 of 21 fighters left after the battle with the Wild Bill, I don't think storage space is an issue if we split 'em between the Paladin and the Ravage. The only issue is that you won't be able to launch a flight hot for a sortie, without taking a moment to form up. I don't think that's such a big deal.

Not overly long I'd imagine. In the Starfleet that we're a part of, I can see something like that already existing, as the Nebula class is the ultimate multi purpose ship with its interchangable pods. To pull an "existing" pod out of storage or assemble a pre fab'd one made with industral replicators should be doable in the time frame allowed.

Well, if that's how it is - and if Commodore S'koll will allow the berth for as long as it's needed ( ;) ) - then I guess it's up to Reliant... does he want the fighters aboard the Ravage, does he want Aureliana to take the 'Fish, or a combo?

Sorry. Mark should be back fairly soon from what I hear, and I've just been caught between softball and soccer and swimming and a ton of other kid stuff. I'll try to put up a transitional post soon... the operative word being "try."

I'm deeply sorry for the absence gang....it was unavoidable. I'll get us back on track soon.....still getting life in general reorganized.

Is it OK if my doctor collects things: tricorders, phasers, PADDs, isolinear chips etc?
