A side note for you guys when posting, what would instant kill a person will instant kill the zombies. However, they feel no pain, ignore minor wounds and feel no fear.

So this variety of zombie still needs it's heart and lungs, not just the brain, to keep going? Can they bleed to death?

Yup, but the damage that each strike you try to land on the Zombies is detailed by dice roll.

Noted. Three more questions while I'm thinking on it.

Are the zombies walkers or runners? Will there be any special types, like in Left 4 Dead?

Should have asked this sooner, but just how much freedom do we have over what happens in this RP? I know you control the zombies, but what about the environment? Is this going to be like a typical table top rpg where the players only control their character and the gm controls everything else, or do the players have a bit more control than just that?

Runners.

Yes but not right now.

I control the environment such as what players get and how they relate to NPC they meet along the way. The player decides where they go and with what they want to interact with.

If it makes it easier for everyone, just pm me your post and I'll make the rolls for you guys there so you don't have to wait. That way I can add in details for you without you having to edit the posts in the main thread.

Crap....do I need to edit my zombie fighting post again?

So, are we dealing with honest to god, risen from the dead Zombies, or rabid disease ridden killing machines that are still alive?

Both in fact.

Nah, its fine for a first run. We'll get more into detail as we go along but for now we're just going to take it easy.

Ok...if we assume I was fighting two ambulatory corpses, my post is ok.

Oddly enough, I just saw an ep of "Supernatural", according to which, the only way to kill a zombie is to nail back in its coffin. Wouldn't that be a bitch if it were true????

I must've missed that ep. What season?

We're going more in the vain of the Left4Dead type zombies. They can take some nasty wounds and keep going but if you blow their heads off or completely sever their spinal cords then they die instantly.

Two I think. One of the first few eps. I'm hooked on that show now. Thanks to Netflix I'm halfway through season three now

Ok, just so I'm clear. Breaking their necks won't necessarily kill them, I'd have to sever the spinal cord. Aside from twisting their heads off, is there a technique to killing them hand to hand? That may come up soon in a post for me
