AVP3?

Post by LaughingCheese »

Any AVP3 players here?

Well, only the demo's out but even that's pretty fun.

I think it was pretty buggy when they first released it; first time I played as a marine and couldn't even walk!! :bangwall:

When I finally figured out how to use the predator's gear that made it super fun. Specially the plasma caster. Actually, that's the main reason I love predator, who wouldn't want a shoulder mounted plasma canon????

Once I get my CNC and vac forming machines set up, expect a shoulder mounted plasma caster air soft gun to be in the works!

I don't like the gore tho. I'm not into gore, but the gear is so much fun to play with! I'm so torn. xD

Well, I guess the scene in STXI where the redshirt is killed by the drill could be considered pretty graphic, after all he's being vaporized before your eyes.

I do wish the devs would include an option to turn off gore. Would really broaden the audience. :|

Loved the first two. Sadly, I don't think my computer could run this one.

You do CNC machining, Cheese?

Dang, sorry to hear that! xd

Will be, hopefully before the end of the year! lol...my plans don't always come to fruition. xD

Well, I don't know if it can be considered true machining; its basically just a dremel attached to a computer controlled gantry.

Here's a couple a projects I'm looking at:

http://www.instructables.com/id/Easy-to ... g-Machine/

I'm currently leaning toward a gantry design with a footprint of 3' x 2'.

The first two games were great fun. Here's hoping that this one is good too.

And pre-ordered!!!

Dang, its been a loooooooong time since I've spent a solid $50 bucks on a game. The last time was when I bought Star Wars Battlefront.

The multiplayer so laggy and bad, the game was just awful, and I was like "NEVER paying 50 bucks for a game. EVER again."

Well, at least till AVP...:P

Really? I love Battlefront! I still play it from time to time just for kicks. Never had a lag problem myself.

You know, I think I bought that when I had my first computer; the Compaq Presario 5000. :p

So it may have been a computer issue. *shrug*

That's funny, Bit-Tech was kind of a downer about it. (Spoiler warning in that link.)

But I don't really care, as long as there's client/server multiplayer, more control over voip, it should be good.

I'm bummed tho that they ended up leaving those graphic moves in.

I guess I just wont' use trophy kill that often.
