I'm gonna give a mention to http://ex-astris-scientia.org/ Truly one of the best Trek sites around.

Speaking of, I think that the Starfleet Museum deserves a mention. Not canon, but it is an interesting vision of what the ENT era could have been like.

I'm gonna have to second the 'ol xkcd. And hey-there's enough math and computer lingo that somebody's bound to think it's sci-fi...

Stardestroyer seconded - a good, scientific, if somewhat uncomplimentary look at Trek tech. The forum's also an . . . interesting place to lurk, though the ban on hotmail, etc accounts is frustrating.

www.gateworld.net is a great site for your Stargate needs. They've also got sections for Trek, B5, Firefly, FarScape, BSG (new), and other science fiction shows.

You'll find a lot of detailed information about what one idea of the 22nd century might have been like. Too bad it was all rendered moot by ENT, but it is a good site if you like a lot of detail.

*shakes head sadly*

I skimmed briefly through a couple of pages and they were easily better than the entire Enterprise series.

If fans out there make this sort of stuff for free, why the hell could Enterprises producers not make something better.

B&B. Those two had been in charge of Trek since Roddenberry died, and bcame complacent. Neither of them were great, but they both had produced some good stuff. By the time of Voyager, particularly the late 6th/7th season, they'd become arrogant, with an attitude that they could put out whatever dross they wanted to and fans would watch it because it said Star Trek. The result was not only a complete disregard for continuity, but a lack of interest in producing the type of good, interesting, sci-fi that made Trek popular in the first place.
