Gotta point out, the trees below the wall are 110m below the elevation of the cliffs above the fort.

Oh, right. We're 30m above the floor of the bailey, and 110m above the ground outside the front of the walls. Hmmm.

What do you think, SG - do we risk a short jump-pack jump down and then back up, or do we change plans and try to block off a section inside the walls?

*EDIT* Now that I'm looking at it again, we'd be coming down on the far side of the bailey from the bulk of the orks. Do we try to make a run for the keep and then seal it behind us from any reinforcements coming in after us? We have extraction set to get us from the roof of the keep, right?

*Pokes* Anyone have any input on his plan?

Roof of the keep is the planned extraction point. As for sealing the keep, it's iffy. While there's some breathing room time wise with the guys in the valley there is a lot of orks inside the castle and if they suspect something is up they might decide to stop killing one another and try to kill us. I'd also point out that the GM said that anything that could potentially wander up the road to the castle could be on the grounds. Some of the bigger ork units might be able to force entry to the keep pretty quickly. This thing was built when the orks were still throwing rocks at one another, they've recently gone through a tech explosion so it might not be up to handling some of what the orks can now throw at it.

I think a short jump-pack ride down and up would be best. Here's hoping that the noise of the fighting is loud enough.

Well, I'm not gonna be around too much tomorrow through Saturday, so how do you want me to go about this: do I need piloting rolls even though I'm not maneuvering; can I make concealment tests to keep out of LOS; and can I use Lore (Spearhead Assaults) to use knowledge of chokepoints to add a bonus to my demolition test?

Since you're hauling SG around with you then a piloting skill check. Since there's no manuvers involved do it at a +20.

You can make a concealment at -10

You can use the lore to add +20

Pilot test: roll of 05 v. 67 (Ag 47 + 20.) Concealment test: 95 v. 37 (Ag - 10.) Pray to Corax that the kine are looking the other way until we hit the ground. Demo test: 11 v. 68 (Int 48 + 20.) +5 degrees of success if that matters.

Well you didn't crash.

We'll see about the explosives when it comes time to set them off.

I guess its up to the rest of us to get our asses down there and to the keep.

So, am I waiting for SG and bringing him back to the team after he sets off the charge, or am I meeting back up with the rest of the team?

You're to meet back up with the others. I'm going to stealth my way to the LZ and make sure it's cleared for your arrival.

Hey, you wanna get in the elevator just get in the damn thing. Unless you want me to just drag your character around until we get to combat situations.
