Most Chem Dogs would do that even if they weren't in dire straits.

Obviously I'd be taking paranoia right off the bat.

I was thinking of taking an Ogryn, so you'd at least have one ally.

Maybe even a BONE'ead, so I'd know know which end of a gun to point at the bad guys.

Well I'm thinking of trying to get away from the shooty types mostly. Have her be a more cerebral type. Lots of lore, focus on things like Intimidate, Logic, Command, Charm, etc. Stick to the pistol and sword motif for the most part.

I'm thinking she stays alive amidst the Chem-Dogs through a combination of fast talking, quick thinking (usually how to find the least adverse punishment for infractions) and having a big ass Ogryn standing behind her.

I think so.

I've been pondering her background a bit more. I think she could be a fun character.

And I'm so bored at work I even went ahead and statted her out using the Dark Reign commissar career.

I might go with a guardsman, I'd like to be more of a shooty/stabby type this game. Though if we're using beast mounts, I might see about these rough riders.

Can I, oooh please, that would be a "load of fun".

There is your penal joke Tsu.

Where can we find the skills for the rough riders on that site? We didn't see the ogryn either.

Well I intend to start at a level where we can get a character in with Tech-Use, otherwise things will go pear shaped at some point cause nothing can get fixed. So for me thats the concern, various careers get it at various points.
Can I make a Tech-Priest and join in? I have the Dark Heresy book, so I can put up a Tech-Priest fairly easily here, either in private message, or posting the stats (as he would have worked with the troopers to keep some of the equipment running).

But I wanna Giant Green Lion....................

If not I guess i could settle for a, flat black 79' shovel-head striped to the bare minimum, with a shot gun holster :)

Unless this is going to be a really small squad we'd probably need some NPC grunts.

Alternate everyone could create one character like a commissar, tech priest, ogryn, whatever, and then create one regular guardsman character for the squad's bulk. Just throwing it out there.
