Find the Founders XI Comment thread

Post by stitch626 »

This is the comment thread for the game. I am currently retyping everything (which is what happens when you can't remember where you put the file). So you have a bit to wait. But the wireless is cooperating (for now). So here's where we stand.

Players:
Rochey
Staplic
Nick
Lazar
Monroe
Mark
MM&I

So with seven players, we will have two "Founders" and two special characters with the other three being normal. And I'm not telling you what the specials are, though I will let you know that they are different from what we are used to.

I will have everything up and the roles sent soon.
Any questions can be posted here.
Any last minute entry requests can be PM'd to me and will be added until the game has begun (when I post the main thread).

Have fun, and good luck.

NOTE: the freighters mentioned in your PM's are non-targetable characters. They are just there for story purposes.

Here are the ships involved. There are three freighters.
Rochey has a Miranda.
Mark has a Constellation.
Lazar has a Saber.
MM&I has a Saber.
Staplic has a Norway.
Nickswitz has an Intrepid.
Monroe has a Steamrunner.

What ship you have is only important story-wise, it has no bearing on the game. So don't make any assumptions based on ship class.

It was realy hard making it so you couldn't tell who was shooting (what if someone looked out a window). But then I realized at several hundred km away, the ships would be unidentifiable.

BTW, night falls later some time. I haven't got a specific time. Lets say... Friday for a goal. Unless of course you already want to kill someone.

I read the first line "Captain Hindenburg of the USS Titanic" and thought to myself, "Can this be any more unlucky?"

Ditto. The first sentence announced that poor fellow was doomed.

Very interesting setting, Stitch. I have a nice twist for mine, but I don't think my setting is as original an idea. Nice work. :)

I wonder how hard a game would be if we had 50 players...

I doubt it would be any harder, since the odds would stay the same. Just more choices

I think it would actually increase the probability of success for the Founders...

the more of them there are, the longer it takes to kill them off, and we have to find them first, where as they can continually pluck away at us. plus they can mislead the group to killing off each other, and the larger the number of them, the more likely it is that they'll succeed at this as they can all voice together, and blend in...a voice of 10 is much less likely to be viewed as a minority in a group of 50, than 1 in 5 (IMO)

Thought it would be killer for whoever moderated.

Is it a bad thing that I already forgot the assignments and had to look at the PM's?
