It would be nothing compared to a series of Galaxy Quest stories.
Though on the other hand, Rimmer does remind me quite a bit of Alexander Dane (Rickman)...

I'm just remembering all the episodes... I think one of my favourites is where Lister takes the Chef's exam so he can outrank Rimmer, and Rimmer does everything he can to stop it
