Phone assistance....can I have help with this?
Right, I'm looking for a replacement for my current phone. I would like a touch screen phone, with wifi but wifi is not essential. I have about £230 to spend, and a few ideas. Just so the American's know, I will NOT buy a Windows mobile phone. I know its very popular in the states, but I cant stand it. Nor will I buy a iPhone if i had the money.
At the moment I have the Samsung S5600, LG GW520, LG Viewty or Nokia 5800...if anyone knows them, or has them, can ye give me the heads up?

Go Nokia, they have never done me wrong.
What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Well if all that fancy computer stuff isn't needed and you just want to use it for a phone I suggest the same phone I have. It can crush cars... under water.
My room mate has a touch screen one I'll have to ask him what he has since he practically lives for it and is always on.
All three brands you got posted are good. My phone before my Boulder was an LG and was built solid. I used to sell cells but my info is a little outdated but I would say LG still makes them the strongest.

How many Minbari does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

be careful, a lot of american phones arent available over here.

LG can be good, however lately they have been falling down on it. My env (which is a replacement, the 8th one IIRC) has such crappy programming, however, I've heard it is a one time thing. I plan on going with the env touch when I upgrade. They are usually good, but be wary. Most touch screen phones also have much shorter battery life than their non-touch counterpart.

My LG cookie that i possted about a while ago crashed within 3 weeks, which has put me off, and a lot of peple have the same problem. however, a few have had the same problem with the nokia 5800....
Re: Phone assistance....can I have help with this?
Yeah, problem with other phone's may have to do with usage. You know what you do, not what they do. So yours may have a problem, theirs may be due to bad care on their part.

True true. I'm overly protective over my phones, and the LG still went wrong. The LG GW520 takes my interest because of the slide out keyboard, as I struggle typing on a touch screen sometimes.

All of them seem fine, however, I would say go for that one, it is the one I would want, but that's just me.

The other one that takes my interest is the Samsung S5600, purely because no-one has bad things to say about it.

I would say go with the one that you think you can use the best, and you can always return it for a refund if you really can't stand it.
However, I began looking into samsung, and I found that the Samsung Omnia II is coming out soon, no clue when, but the specs are amazing. Here's the Cnetarticle.

Oh, no, I was planning on getting it, I found it just now, and I was amazed by it. My dad and I both want it. I will probably get it once it comes out.

I have my Eye on the Samsung Jet, but it's still bit too expensive at the moment.
Re: Phone assistance....can I have help with this?
The jet is very nice phone, but yes, a bit expensive.
